Baylight is a collection that captures the delicate play of light and atmosphere across the San Francisco Bay. Each photograph reflects a moment of stillness within movement — fog drifting across the Golden Gate, sunlight spilling over the coastline, the shimmer of the city seen through a haze. Together, they tell a story of transition, reflection, and the quiet beauty that lives between water and sky.
This series was photographed at Bothin Marsh for my California Wetland Controversies course (SJUS). The project documents the shifting tides, vegetation, and human structures that shape the marsh’s ecology. Through these images, I aimed to observe how natural and built environments interact — revealing the delicate balance between preservation, adaptation, and change along California’s coastal wetlands.
